In May of 2017,I donated to Kickstarter with my Discover card. I offered $100 as their top level.

My Discover account was billed $1,100. I tried to dispute by phone but that number refused to answer. I tried another number but could not get past the electronic mailbox. I disputed with Discover who was unable to convince Kickstarter that the billing was in error.

I felt my $100 donation was more than generous but somehow that translated into $1000 more. Kickstarter needs to be audited by the SEC. I am out $1100 and no t-shirt to show for it. I believe this to be wire fraud.

I wonder if this is a common theme? I am indeed a Pissed Consumer.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

I didn't like: Contact process is inconsistent.
